Marian Joan Raney

Marian Joan Raney, 75, of Stuttgart, passed away at her home on December 29, 2015, surrounded by her family. Marian was a homemaker and a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church in Stuttgart.

She is survived by three sons, Steve Raney of Nashville, Ar., Donnie Raney of Texas, and Daniel Raney of Stuttgart; two daughters, Eva Kirkman and Donna Downey both of Stuttgart; two brothers, Ronnie Crump of Hazen and Bill Crump of Oregon; one sister, Susan Donaldson of Pine Bluff; 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Eva Crump; one son, Samuel Raney; brother, Jack Crump and a sister, Connie Taylor.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M.Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel in Hazen.  Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M., prior to the service.

Burial will be in the Hazen Cemetery.

Billie Jean Rounsavall

Billie Jean Rounsavall, 87, of Benton passed away December 17, 2015.  She was born July 3, 1928 in Ward, Arkansas to the late William and Clara Phillips Harkins.  Billie Jean was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Joe Bryan Rounsavall; son, Randy Rounsavall; sisters, Christine Cagle and Clarice Tygart and brother, George Harkins.  She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Myers (Charlie) of Mablevale and Linda Berkemeyer (Alan) of Little Rock; one son, Bryan Rounsavall of Jacksonville; one sister, Emmilene Rounsavall of North Little Rock; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.  

A memorial graveside service will be held 12:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the Center Point Cemetery North of Hazen.  

Alice Rosel Foot

Alice Rosel Foot, 90, of Tollville, was born November 5, 1925 to the late Bascum and Mable Beeler Rosel and died Sunday, December 20, 2015.  She was always a farmers wife and enjoyed knitting, quilting, and working in her yard.  Alice was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Tollville.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, J.R. Foot, Jr. and two great-granddaughters, Hannah Grace Rounsavall and Kay Rounsavall.

Alice is survived by three children, Barbara Rounsavall Rogers of Hazen, Kenneth Foot and wife, Rita of Tollville, and Charles Foot and wife, Debbie of El Dorado; eight grandchildren, Kevin Rounsavall (Christi) of Hazen, John Foot of Hazen, Jeanette Petrus of Carlisle, Jeff Rounsavall (Andrea) of Hazen, Benji Foot (Shelia) of Tollville, Kim Key (Jason) of El Dorado, Jeffrey Foot (Selisa) of Tollville, and Tracie Jones (Matt) of Brandon, Mississippi.; one brother, Phillip Rosel (Loretta) of Clarksville; sisters, Jane Holmes of Fort Smith and Susan Robinson (Mike) of Michigan; 17 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, December 21, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen.  Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Tollville.  Burial will be in Peppers Lake Cemetery south of De Valls Bluff.  In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.

Jeffrey Harmon Davis

Jeffrey Harmon Davis,, 56 of Hazen, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 11:20 P.M. in his wife’s arms at the Arkansas Hospice in St. Vincent’s Hospital in Little Rock, after a long battle with lung cancer.  Jeffrey was born September 11, 1959 to John L. and Lucille Davis in Houston, Texas.  Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Cory LaVell Davis.

He is survived by his loving wife, Bamba Davis of Hazen; daughter, Ashley Elliott and husband, Daniel of Waldo, Arkansas; his sister, Linda Solice and husband, Jerry of Timpson, Texas; brother, James Davis of Aldine, Texas ; granddaughter, Madison Lynn Elliott of Waldo, that he adored and loved dearly and an unborn grandson due February, 2016 who will be Jackson LaVell Elliott.  Jeffrey wanted so much to see this grandson.  He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins that he dearly loved.

Jeffrey was married to Bamba for 35 years.  He was a truck driver and a jack of all trades including being a caregiver to his son for 16 years.  He loved fishing, spending time with his children and his two dogs and raccoon and hanging out with his friends.  He was known by many as “Doc Jay”, Ponytail, and the Butler. He will be missed by all.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M..  A reception will follow at the Beagle Club in Wattensaw.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that the money be donated to the family to help with expenses or donated in Jeffrey’s name to the Lung Cancer Foundation or Carti.

Jerry Wayne Walters

Jerry Wayne Walters, 52, of Hazen, died November 26, 2015.  He was born in Arkansas.  He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Walters; his mother and step-father, Joe & Mary Settlemire; his wife, Salina Walters and his son, Alan Walters.  He is survived by three sons, Mathew, Andy and Alex Walters; his brothers, Ronnie Walters of Des Arc and Joseph Settlemire of Missouri; his sisters, Sharon Settlemire of Paragould, Judy Settlemire of Missouri, and Mary Jo Jones and husband, Steve of Hazen and one granddaughter, Addison Garza.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Family Christian Fellowship Church in Hazen by Scott Skarda.

Margerette Lyvonne Putt Tucker
