
Vina Earlene Tenison, age 74, of Hazen, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on March 28th, 2026 surrounded by her family.
Earlene was born on December 17th, 1951. She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Tenison, and her parents, Robert and Gussie Perry.
She is survived by her loving children, Daughter, Crystal Mauk of Hazen; and son, Greg (Melissa) Tenison of Hazen; grandchildren, Matt (Kalyn) Tenison of Hazen, Lucas (Autym) Tenison of Hazen, Chase (Noriyah) Sweet of Conway, Lexi Tenison of Hazen, and Randa Mauk of Hazen; Six great-grandchildren, River Kate Tenison, Jax Tenison, Mack Henry Tenison, Miles Tenison, Mercy Sweet, and Colter Mauk; her siblings, Bobby (Cheryl) Perry, Ralph (Linda) Perry, Gary Perry, Betty Huler, and Donna Perry.
Earlene attended and graduated from Hazen High School. She began her career working at Hazen School District in the early 80s when her children first began school and remained there for her grandchildren throughout their school years.
Her love for her family was unmatched; she loved her children and was so proud of her grandchildren and oh how she lit up when it came to her great-grandchildren; they were all her pride and joy.
Earlene was a devoted Christian woman who loved the Lord and her family deeply. She was a member of Walters Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She had a special gift for music and played the piano like no other, a true gift that brought comfort, joy and inspiration to everyone who heard her. She was also known for baking beautiful wedding cakes, she loved sharing her talents to help make others’ special days’ even more memorable.
Her love, kindness, and unwavering faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Visitation will be Monday, March 30th, 2026 beginning at 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. held at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen.
Funeral services for Earlene will be Tuesday, March 31st, 2026 beginning at 10:30 A.M. held at Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church north of Hazen.

A true christian woman who lived her faith. Was kind to everyone who crossed her path. I admired Earlene and wished I was at half the woman she was. My condolences to all the family and friends, which were many. Rest in Peace Earlene.
Earlene was a great Christian woman who loved the Lord and also loved people. I am forever grateful for the love and help she gave to my parents. I know she will be greatly missed by all. Our love and prayers are with you all
Sister Earlene was a remarkable lady whose Christian legacy is dearly cherished by all those who knew her.
In the nursing home she told me that she wanted to go home.
Well, she’s home now.
