Born during the Presidency of Calvin Coolidge, Sister Pearlene Weems saw much of American history unfold before her eyes. I enjoyed visiting with her (before COVID-19 paralyzed the nation) and I learned much from her
about local history. She was a remarkable lady in many ways. She worked hard much of her life, such as, making hay in the hot summertime. She loved her family, her friends, her church, and her Lord. And she was loved in return. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her, but she left a wonderful, sweet legacy that will be cherished in memory. May God’s Word and His Holy Spirit (the “Comforter”) provide strength, comfort, and assurance to the family in this time of sorrow.
