Robert “Bobby” Schwede

Robert “Bobby” Schwede, 66 of Biscoe passed away Saturday, October 12, 2019 at home.  He was an active member of the Biscoe Fire Dept. for over 40 years.  Bob loved the fire department, helping others, and helping Biscoe.

Bob is survived by his wife, Diane of the home; daughter, Nina (Vince) Holloway of Biscoe; step-daughter, Kelly (Glenn) Williams of Biscoe; step-sons, Tim (Selena) Freet and Jay (Beth) Freet from Mishawaka, Indiana; grandsons, Colton Holloway, Sam (Shelby) Williams, and Jacob Williams; granddaughter, Rebecca (Cody) Anderson; great granddaughter, Lilyanne Anderson; sister, Liz Schwede of Biscoe; three brothers, Tommy (Linda) Schwede of Biscoe, Charles (Peggy) Schwede of Hazen and Ricky (Barbara) Schwede of Ulm.  He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and lots of friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Syble Schwede; two sisters, Sue Schwede and Virginia Ingle and one brother, Jimmy Schwede.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, October 14, at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen.  Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in De Valls Bluff.. Burial will be in the Biscoe Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Terry Sauer, David Smith, Kent Smith, Billy White, Tanner White, Bobby Willeford, Jacob Williams, and Sam Williams.  Honorary pallbearers are Caden Schwede, Vince Holloway, and members of the Biscoe Fire Department.

  1. Bob will ne greatly missed by many people. He loved his community and doing things for others , and his community loved him. Rest In Peace my dear friend and co-worker.

  2. I have considered Bobby a good friend for many years. Regardless of how long we went without visiting each other our visits always began as though it were only the day before. Bobby you will be truly missed but I cherish our memories. I send up prays that God will comfort family and friends during this time of sadness. God Bless and Love you all. Keith “Cotton” Gladish

  3. I considered Bob family because he was so important to my grandson Caden Schwede. He was a wonderful man and meant so much to so many people. He will be greatly missed by so many. Im so thankful for all he did for Caden. Caden will be lost without him. Prayers and love for all the Schwede family.

    We looked forward to seeing Bobby riding around in his truck he never failed to wave to us he was always there to help when we called him
