Melinda Sims, 72 of Little Rock, passed away Friday, August 30, 2019. She retired from Turnage Employment after several years. Melinda was preceded in death by her parents, Irvin and Alyeene Sims and two brothers, Burk and Buddy Sims. She is survived by her brother, Chuck Sims; sister-in-law, Marilyn Sims; special friends, Judy Sims and Sharon Cagle, and beloved by her many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:30 Sunday, September 1, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church in Hazen. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 at the church prior to the service.
Burial will be in the Hazen Cemetery.

My sincere and heartfelt sympathy in the loss of your beloved Melinda. She was a dear and wonderful friend to me and I have been blessed to have known her. She will be missed.
My prayers are for Melinda’s family as she will be deeply missed. Her family was so important to her and she loved them dearly.
I have so many great memories of more than 20 years of movie nights and lunches together with friends. She was a special person in my life and I will miss her very much.

I was so saddened to hear of Melinda’s passing. So many good memories from our growing up years in Hazen. And she was such a blessing to me when I needed a friend so desperately. She was such a sweetheart. I loved Melinda.
