Margaret Louise Strohl McVey was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, December 15, 1949 to Carl and Mary Strohl of DeValls Bluff. Margaret left this world for her heavenly home November 11, 2019. She leaves behind the love of her life, Charles McVey, whom she married June 6, 1969. The last few years they made their home in Tollville. They celebrated their 50 years of marriage by renewing their vows in a beautiful beach ceremony in Navarre Beach, Florida. Others left to cherish her memory is their son, Michael Jay McVey of Gravel Ridge; their daughter, Amy Eberlein and husband, Chris of Casscoe, along with the sunshine of Margaret’s life, granddaughter, Addie Eberlein; Chris’s children, Lauren Buffkin, and husband, David and Anthony Eberlein; two very special people who she considered her sons, Mark Harden and Greg Burks; bonus grandkids, Kallie and Kobe Cotton who called her “Maggie” and two brothers, Howard Strohl and Henry Strohl.
Margaret was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. When her spirit left her body, she was in the presence of her Lord, Jesus Christ and united with her many loved ones gone before her – particularly her Grandma Skelton and her Mom and Dad, Carl and Mary Strohl. Margaret was the most loving, kindest person you would ever hope to meet. Her life was devoted to Charles and their family. She was overjoyed when Addie was born and loved spending time with her.
Margaret’s family will celebrate her life and the love she bestowed on them with future visits to Mardi Gras and the beach, Margaret’s “happy place”. Margaret’s spirit will be with them from now until they meet again.
A celebration of life in memory of Margaret Strohl McVey will be from 1 -3 P.M., November 23, 2019 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church Parish Hall in Tollville, Arkansas. Please come share your memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials be make to St. Jude’s.
