Jackie Clyde Owens

Jackie Clyde Owens of De Valls Bluff passed away unexpectedly in his home on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at the age of 69. Jackie was born on November 15, 1952 in DeValls Bluff, Arkansas to the late Charles Owens and Parthena Owens Broadaway.

Jackie grew up in De Valls Bluff farming with his family at Three O Farms. He married Durenda Huling in 1976 and had 3 children. In later years, he worked as an electrician at RJ Electric for 27 years. Jackie retired in 2020 to care for his mother. He had a love for people and the outdoors. He especially loved his garden and being able to share it with his family and neighbors (since all he wanted out of the garden was the squash and okra lol)

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Durenda Owens; two daughters, Holly McMullen and Heather Owens, one son, Jackie Owens (Tara), all of De Valls Bluff, seven grandchildren, Kaleb, Nikolas, Noah, Gabrielle, Kenzi, Kinley and Parker; one sister, Rebecca Walker (Bo) of Hot Springs, one brother, Vernon Owens (Sonja) of Hazen, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at 2pm at The First Pentecostal Church of Prairie County with a memorial service following at 3pm.
