Andrew Lynn Weddle

Andrew Lynn Weddle of De Valls Bluff, passed away on May 27, 2015.  He was born on June 29, 1926 to William Andrew and Olivia Weddle at Hazen, Arkansas.  He is survived by two brothers, 6 sisters, and one sister-in-law.

He was a veteran of W.W. II and Korean War.  He was wounded in Korea and awarded the Purple Heart.

After discharge from the Army, he attended State Teachers College in Conway.  He received a teaching degree and taught school in De Valls Bluff and Texas.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, May 29, 2015 at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 30 at the Peppers Lake Church of Christ.  Burial with military honors will be in the Peppers Lake Cemetery.

    Just saw Andrew’s obituary and it brought to mind that he took me to my high school prom in 1946! When he came home after the war, he brought cigarettes, and I smoked them until I became ill! Haven’t seen him since, but he is not forgotten. Sorry for your loss.
