Sharon Lavon Gates, 67 of Hazen, died September 10, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas. She is survived by her son, Kevin Brownell, Jr. of Dewey, Oklahoma; one daughter, Shannon Newby of Florida; three grandchildren, Nicholas Cole Brownell, Blakeley and Christian-Troy Newby and her brother, Wayne Gates. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Emma Jean Gates. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the Center Point Cemetery in Hazen.

I am so sorry to hear of the death of my dear cousin. May she Rest In Peace with the ones ones who are waiting for her in heaven. I have some beautiful memories of our childhood. I will remember you all in my prayers. I know God will send you the comfort you need.
Wayne, I am so sorry that your sweet, beautiful sister Sharon has passed. She fought such a long, hard battle. Sharon has always been a special, dear friend to me, and oh how I miss those wonderful years we all shared in Hazen. May you find peace in remembering all the good times you and Sharon enjoyed so many years ago. You will be in my prayers.
