Bro Ronnie Simmons left an amazing legacy that will be dearly cherished by all those who knew him. His dedicated service as a deacon and teacher was a blessing to our church. He had a rare ability to clearly convey ideas by using precise word-choice, relevant illustrations, and interesting and sometimes comical anecdotes. His encyclopedic mind was a reservoir of vast information that was immediately accessible when needed. His explanations could make the complex simple. His logical chain-of-reasoning ability would be envied by lawyers. In short, I have had many teachers and so-called distinguished professors in my lifetime, but this remarkable farmer from Oak Prairie, Arkansas stands at the top of the list. We will miss him greatly. May God’s Word and His Holy Spirit (the “Comforter”) provide strength, comfort, and assurance to the Simmons family and many friends.

  5. Praying for the family. Bro Ronnie and Mrs Kathy were young sponsors at Center Point when I was a kid. He was also my Sunday School teacher for several years.

To the Simmons Family: Our heartfelt condolences go out to all of Ronnie’s family. I had not seen him in many years but the connection is never lost. Our Grandfathers were brothers. My Mother was Minna Lea Simmons Norman, daughter of Thomp Simmons.
Please know our thoughts are with you in this difficult time.
