Our dear friend has gone on to Heaven. He no doubt waits by the gate for the rest of us. Brother Ricky was so dear to us. Such a big hole is left in my heart, his wife and family, his church and the whole town of Carlisle. May Jesus comfort you all these days. Jesus said, “HAVE FAITH IN GOD.” I preached a funeral last week and said, “we all need to think more about the future because that’s where we Christians are going to live forever.” Until Then.

  2. Mary and family,

I was so saddened to hear of Ricky’s passing. You all know how special and how much he meant to me. I enjoyed working with him for twelve years and could always depend on him to help on anything I needed. I am so happy I recently saw and spoke with him for a while. He will be greatly missed! Prayers for comfort and peace for all of you.

    Love,
    Trudy

  4. Mary and family,
Ricky will be missed in this world but we will see him again when the trumpet sounds, if not before. Ricky knew the water and sewer system of Carlisle better than anyone. Carlisle will definitely miss Ricky.
Mary, you and your family are in our prayers.

My condolences go out to the Sumner family. I grew up in Carlisle with two older brothers, Bill and Joe Cunningham who were the same age as Jim and Ricky. So I’ve known Ricky for a while. I also graduated from CHS with SunDeen. Joe use to say that Carlisle had a lot of “ characters”. Ricky was definitely one of those. He was a one of a kind. The city of Carlisle will sure miss him but will never forget him. You are in my prayers. May God Bless.

  8. Mr. Ricky will be missed. He was always in a good mood whenever he stopped by to pick up items from us for the water department. We offer prayers and condolences to his whole family.
