Rex D. Williams, 73, of Biscoe died Thursday, November 26, 2020. He was a member of the Biscoe First Baptist Church. Rex served many years on the Biscoe Fire Department. He was employed by Prairie County from 1973 to 1991, first as a sheriff deputy, then later on the road department as a heavy equipment operator. Lastly he was the county road superintendent.

Rex served the lord by being a member of the Arkansas Baptist Disaster Relief making numerous trips to help people in need. He later became a member of the Baptist Nail Benders for Jesus; a construction crew building churches.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Hudson Williams and his father, Rex D. Williams, Sr.. Rex is survived by his wife, Barbara Williams; two sons, Glenn Williams and wife, Kelly of Biscoe and John Williams and wife, Sherry also of Biscoe; five grandchildren, Rebecca Anderson and husband, Cody of Des Arc, Samuel Williams and wife, Shelby of Biscoe, Cari Prine and husband, Lance of Clarendon, Landon Williams of Hazen and Jacob Williams of Biscoe; two great granddaughters, Lilyanne Anderson, Clava Prine and a great grandson, Luke Williams on the way.

Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M., Sunday, November 29, 2020 at the Biscoe First Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. at the church prior to the service. The family asks that you please wear a mask to both the visitation and the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Biscoe Fire Department.

    The life of Mr. Rex Williams was characterized by his remarkable service to his church, his community and county, and to family and friends. He left a legacy that will be cherished by all those who knew him. May God bless the family.
