Norma Jean Taylor, age 80, of De Valls Bluff, Arkansas, passed away on November 3, 2023. Norma was born on July 16, 1943, to the late Esther and Loise Heslep. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, B.C. Taylor, and her brothers Ronnie and Larry Heslep.
Norma and her late husband B.C. operated Taylor Oil Company for 20 years before they retired. Norma had a passion for hummingbirds and found great joy in attracting and taking care of hundreds of birds every year.
Norma is survived by her loving son, Mark Taylor (Myna); granddaughter, Autumn Reddin (Justin); great-grandson, Ellis Reddin; sisters, Gwen Couch, Karen Karps (John), and Cheryl Daugherty; sister in law Joann Heslep; and a host of nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends. Also her loving companion, Butch, who protected her for many years.
A graveside service to celebrate Norma’s life will be held on November 7, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Oakland Cemetery in De Valls Bluff. The service will be conducted by Westbrook Funeral Home of Hazen, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oakland Cemetery Maintenance Fund in memory of Norma.
