Michael W. Mitchell, 78, of Carlisle, died Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at his home. Michael was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Long Island, New York. He was a collision repair specialist and a farmer.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Alice Mitchell and a sister, Lynda Joslyn. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen McMenemy Mitchell; two daughters, Tara Bennett (David) of Carlisle and Holly Mitchell of New York; four sisters, Michelle Mitchell , Mary Mitchell and Rosie Quinn all of New Jersey and Cynthia Sherman of Pennsylvania; two granddaughters, Makenzie and Tristan Bennett.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Saturday at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen. A Graveside service will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, November 12, at Carlisle Cemetery in Carlisle, Arkansas.
Although I did not know Mr. Mitchell, I know he was a good and loving person. He raised a family that is truly a reflection of him. My prayers are there for Tara and her family.
