Maudie L. Sayger, age 88, of Biscoe was born January 24, 1924 and passed away on April 12, 2014 at Chambers Nursing home in Carlisle, Arkansas.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Biscoe and taught Sunday School for a number of years. Maudie was also a retired postmaster.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Rooker Phifer of Hazen; her husband, Paul W. Sayger; four sisters and one brother.
Maudie is survived by her daughter, Paulette (Jimmie) Hurt of Biscoe; two grandsons, Aron Hurt of Monette, Arkansasand Jason (Marie) Hurt of Springdale and three great granddaughters, Ava, Eliza, and Eleanor Hurt of Springdale.
The family would like to thank the Chamber Nursing Home and Mattie for the special care and love they gave to Maudie while she was there.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Biscoe. Visitation will be from6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, April 14, 2014 at the Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen. Burial will be in the Hazen Cemetery.
