Mandel I Sharp departed this world on May 8, 2020 at Springhill Baptist in North Little Rock. He was born on December 7, 1919 to Gertrude and Henry Sharp in Elizabeth, Louisiana. The family moved to Arkansas in 1938 and to DeValls Bluff in 1939. He married Mary Lancaster on June 6, 1947. Mandel was a World War II veteran of the Army-Air Force, serving in Italy and other parts of Europe where his unit (57th Squadron) all received a Bronze and Silver Star medal.
Mandel was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings and one great grandchild. He is survived by his wife; daughter, Shirley Goff (Bruce); grandsons, Brian (Shelle Ball), George Weatherley (Crystal) and two great granddaughters, Rowan Weatherley and Naomi Weatherley.
Burial will be cremation with no service.

So sorry, Mary, Shirley and Family. Mandel was a very special person to his family and others. Praying The Lord’s comfort now and in all the long days
and long nights ahead. Just know God knows best and Mandel will be spared whatever is before us in this crisis. God cares for all of us and He hears and answers prayers. Love you.
