Joyce Odell Taylor age 98 went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 25th, 2026. She was born on December 25, 1927 to the late Charles and Ruby Greenwalt of Hazen.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Taylor; her daughter, Glenda Taylor; her parents, Charles and Ruby Greenwalt; her brothers, Morris, Roy, Harold and Dale Greenwalt; and her sisters, Velma Holmes and Dorothy Fisher.
She is survived by her son, Terry (Sabrina) Taylor of Hazen; one brother, Doris (Betty) Greenwalt of Hazen; Grandsons, Bradley (Michelle) Taylor of Biscoe, Kreston (Jana) Taylor of Carlisle, Dallas (Janellle) Taylor of Hazen, Andy (Cecilia) Taylor of Kingsburg, California; Six great grandsons, three great granddaughters, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Joyce was a faithful member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church of Carlisle. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to Vickie Penn, Christy Jackson, Maple Health Care of Hazen, and the entire Hospice Home Care team.
Visitation will be Monday, September 28th, 2026 beginning at 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 29th, 2026 beginning at 1:00 P.M. held at Calvary Baptist Church in Hazen. Interment will be in Center Point Cemetery in Hazen.
