Jerry Robert Duch

Jerry Robert DuchJerry Duch, 85, of Hazen, AR, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday August 4, 2014.

Jerry was born in Slovak, AR to Julius and Mary Duch on November 15, 1928.  He served his country in the Army during the Korean War.  He spent his entire career working as a farmer.  He married the love of his life Linda on March 2, 1973.  He enjoyed the simple things in life such as spending time with family and friends, working in his garden and building model airplanes.  He was a member of St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Slovak.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Julius and Mary Duch; brothers Albin, Daniel, and Richard Duch; and sisters Bernadine Skarda and Lorraine Madar.

Jerry is survived by his wife Linda of Hazen; five children Alecia Ozimek of Gurnee, IL; Sharon Gault of Carlisle, AR; John Warren of Oceanside CA; Bill Warren and wife Kym of Carlisle, AR; Stephen Duch and wife Amber of Sherwood, AR; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; and one brother Raymond Duch of Hazen, AR.

Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday August 7, 2014 at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen, AR, followed by a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday August 8, 2014 at St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Slovak, AR.

    Sorry for your loss. I remember Uncle Jerry loved children and I will always remember him saying, come give me a hug, I am your Uncle Jerry. What a wonderful memory . Hugs and Prayers to and your family.
