Frances Beatrice Herman Hartley

Frances Beatrice Herman Hartley born September 24, 1940 to Cora and Jess Herman in Tallulah, Louisiana. Frances met and married the love of her life, Jack Hartley. She survived by her four children, Corman (Jug) Tipton, Jesse Dean Hartley, Donna (Timmy) Mulherin of De Valls Bluff, Linda(Terry) Toland of Mississippi, 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild, one brother Lester (Barbara) Herman and many nieces and nephews.

Frances started her nursing career in DeWitt then became school nurse for De Valls Bluff Schools. Nursing was her calling, even when she went into the nursing home, she was nursing right to the end.

She loved deer hunting and was known for her many large buck mounts. Frances even placed in placed in the Big Buck Classic.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Jack Hartley, her mother, Cora Herman, her father, Jess Herman, two sisters, Ruthy Faye Herman and Ruby Jewell Morgan.

Visitation will be Friday, August 4th, from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen. Graveside service Saturday, August 5th at 10:00am at Crockett’s Bluff Cemetery.
