Eddie Travis Moore

Eddie Travis Moore, age 82, of Cabot, formerly of Carlisle, passed away December 20, 2022. Eddie was the former owner of the Otasco Hardware Store in Carlisle and Eddie’s Tire and Lube in Carlisle. He was preceded in death by his parents, E.P. (Bunk) and Grace Moore; 6 sisters, Colleen Burnette, Loretta Seymore, Peggy Lukas, Walsie Jennings, Twilla Moore, and Marilyn Tefteller and a brother, Wilburn Moore. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Moore; daughter, Paula Socia and husband, Chuck of Cabot; grandson, Travis Socia of Springdale; sister, Charlene Highfill of Dallas, Texas and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 23, 2022 at the Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel in Hazen, Arkansas.Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Interment will be in the Carlisle Cemetery.

  2. Eddie Moore (or less): well buddy you were certainly Moore, not less. I am proud to call you my classmate, a lifelong friend and my “go to” man. The world lost a good man on December 20th. RIP Eddie, you will be missed by me and many others.

  3. We both moved from Carlisle, on the City council and I enjoyed stopping by your tire store and visited with you and Sonny. I think I’ve know you all my life. You drove my school bus when you were a senior in Hazen. My how the world has changed. I hope that Glenda and all you family are doing well.
