Homer “Butch” Earl Ingle, Jr.

Homer “Butch” Earl Ingle, Jr., of Hazen, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 3, 2017.  He was born May 24, 1948, to Homer Earl Sr., and Peggy Ingle.  Homer was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Rick.  He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Belinda Ingle; his mother, Peggy Ingle; his mother-in-love, Billie Stephens; three daughters, Kristie (Bobby) D’Angelo, Tiffany (Gary) Eldridge, and Stacey (Adam) Bowman, all of Hazen; ten grandchildren, John (Emily) D’Angelo, Morgan D’Angelo (fiancée, Jacob), Faith Plummer, Cole Plummer, Chance Eldridge, Cami Eldridge, Cole Eldridge, Michael Bowman, and Liam Bowman; two great-grandchildren, Marcy Morris and Kendall Neil; one brother, Jeff (Theresa) Ingle; eight sisters, Carol (Steve) Hoevelman, Cathey Ingle, and Joyce Ingle, five sisters-in-love, Judy Moy, Debbie Stephens, Cindy (Jimmy) Hamilton, Susan Ramos, Kathy Stephens, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

The family would like to thank everyone for the prayers, love, and generosity shown over the past several months.  No better care nor a more loving community exists than the one in which we reside.  Throughout his journey, Butch, Belinda, and family clung to Proverbs 3:5-6, 8, which states, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding, In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths, It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.” Holding this verse and God’s promises in our hearts, we take great comfort in knowing that Butch is now healed and in the arms of Jesus and that we will see him again someday.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen.  Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 6, at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.  Burial will be in the Center Point Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to cancer research.

Elna Louise Rogers Hamric

Elna Louise Rogers Hamric, 98, of Carlisle, passed away January 19, 2017.  She was born September 15, 1918, the daughter of Walter and Ruth Rogers.   Louise married Wesley Paul Hamric on May 29, 1937.  She was a member of the First United MethodistChurch in Carlisle.

Louise is survived by four children, Wesley (Dub) Hamric and wife, Barbara and Bobby Hamric and wife, Delorse both of Hazen, Charlotte Elmore Glover and husband, Bobby of Carlisle and Marilyn Grudnowski and husband, Dave of Cave Springs, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; one brother, Charles Rogers of California; three sisters, Mildred Vaughn of Louisiana, Rebecca Patterson of Biscoe, and Verna Dean Dollar of Texas.

The family wishes to express special thanks to Chambers Nursing Home and the wonderful staff and Baptist Hospice for their loving care.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday, January 23, 2017 at theFirst United Methodist Church inCarlisle.  Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 prior to the service.  Burial will be in the Hazen Cemetery.

The family requests memorials be made to the First United MethodistChurch, Chamber Nursing Home, or charity of your choice.

Arrangements are by Westbrook Funeral Home of Hazen.

Irvin Burk Sims

Burk Sims photo 001Irvin Burk Sims, 76, of Hazen, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2016.  Burk was born February 20, 1940, the son of Irvin and Alyene Hanson Sims.  Burk was a farmer and a  heavy equipment salesman most of his life, a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hazen, and a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

He is survived by his two son’s, Buck Sims and wife, Hillary of Hazen and Shane Sims and wife, Kristi of Benton; one daughter, Scarlett Goodwin and husband, Chris of Colorado; step-children, Kathy Carter, Joey Carter, Lori Caviness, and Luke Carter; grandchildren, Keri Snyder, Sage Goodwin, Sam Goodwin, Bo Sims, Brett Sims, Stone Goodwin,  Spencer Carter, Slade Goodwin, Carley-Jo Carter, and Blake Sims; brothers, Buddy Sims and wife, Marilyn, and Chuck Sims; one sister, Melinda Sims.

Burk was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Patti, and grandchildren, Braydyn Sims, Kylee Dulaney Sims, and Sophie Goodwin.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M., Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church in Hazen.  Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., prior to the service at the church.

Daniel Lee Cessor

Daniel Lee Cessor, 35, of Hazen, passed away  Saturday, May 14, 2016 at his home.  Daniel was a hard working man.  He thought the world of his family.  He loved to do anything outdoors; he especially loved taking his children hunting and fishing.  Daniel was a member of Peppers Lake Church of Christ in De Valls Bluff where he had a great church family.

In May of 2013, he was diagnosed with cancer.  Daniel fought so hard to beat the horrible disease, but three years later God had other plans and called him home.  Daniel always tried to see the good in everything and everyone no matter the situation.  He was always willing  to help anyone in need.  His family takes pride in knowing they will see him again in Heaven.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Fought,  a brother, Wayne Fought, his father-in-law, Charlie Tumey, a brother-in-law, James Tumey, and his grandparents, Lillie Bell and Noah Cessor.He is survived by his wife, Shawana Cessor; children, Tyler and Jessica Cessor; his mother, Glenda Fought; sisters, Deviane Edge of Hazen, Shannon Shatzer of Little Rock and Tabitha Wood of Hot Springs; his brother, George (Randy) Fought of West Virginia ;nephews, Hunter Fox, Zachari Edge, and, Adam Fought ; niece, Kierstin Shatzer and a host of loving aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:30 P.M., Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen.  Funeral service will be 5:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at the Peppers Lake Church of Christ.  Burial will be in the Peppers Lake Cemetery.

Remle Keith Thomas

Remle Keith Thomas, age 61, of North Little Rock, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 27, 2015.  He was born February 13, 1954, the son of Remle R. Tomas and Donna Krumpen Thomas.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by one son, Jason Thomas (Amber) of Hazen and one adopted daughter, Amanda Thomas Looney (Jimmy) of Oklahoma; three brothers,  Randy Thomas (Diane) of Texas, Robert Thomas (Becky) of Texas, and Jim Hutchins of Florida; one sister, Linda Hildebrand (Raymond) of Stuttgart; four granddaughters, Jalynn and Jaycee Thomas of Hazen and Caitlin and Kendall Looney of Oklahoma.

Keith graduated from Stuttgart High School where he was an outstanding athlete.  He also attended Henderson State University in Arkadelphia.  He was employed at Remington Arms in Lonoke, Arkansas.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel, 115 North Livermore Street, Hazen, Arkansas at 1:00 P.M..  Burial will follow at Lone Tree Cemetery, 1740 Hwy. 79B, Stuttgart, Arkansas.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Embassy Church, 500 Parkdale, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72117 or to a charity of your choice.
