Billy Joe Pryor

Billy Joe Pryor of Carlisle, died October 27, 2016.  He was born July 22, 1934, the only child of Luther Wilburn Pryor and Agnes Naomi Boals Pryor. 

Billy Joe and Bobbie were married June 21, 1956.  They were blessed to have 60 years of marriage.  He was drafted into the army in December of 1956, serving his country for two years in Germany.  He retired from Mississippi River Transmission Corporation after 30 years of dedicated service.  He enjoyed 27 years of retirement.  Billy graduated from Carlisle High School in 1953, was a member of First BaptistChurch and a member of CarlisleAlumni Association.

Billy is survived by his wife, Bobbie Jean Milligan Pryor; daughters, Dena Meredith and Erica (Willy) McCallie; granddaughters, Lacy Meredith and Casey (Justin) Haycook; three great-granddaughters, Michala and Paige Chadwick, and AnnaBeth Haycook; two step grandchildren Maria and Thomas McCallie.

The family wants to thank Chambers Nursing Home and Hospice Care for the wonderful care given to him the last few weeks of his life.  Funeral services will be 2:30 Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Carlisle with visitation from 1:30 to 2:30 prior to the service.
