Johnnie Mae Ledford
April 19, 1938—February 22, 2026
Johnnie Ledford, 87, of Hensley, Arkansas departed this Earth and went to her Heavenly Home at 2:00pm on February 22, 2026 at Briarwood Nursing Home in Little Rock, AR. She was the daughter of Al and Clarice Horton of Hazen, Arkansas who have preceded her in death.
Johnnie is survived by her husband, William D. (Bill) Ledford of Hensley, AR; daughter, Tina Graves & Chuck of Sheridan; son, William L. (Bill) & Dana Ledford of Benton. AR; Grand children: Ben Graves of Columbia, MO; Micah & Jared Self of Sheridan, AR; Sara & Josh Gregg of Austin, AR; and four great grandchildren, Jesse Self, Opal Anne Self, Hayden Gregg and Avery Gregg; and a host of family and friends.
She was a devoted member of East Union Missionary Baptist Church. She was involved with her Life Group and the Trail Blazers Senior Adult group. She was Bill’s devoted wife of 67 years. She held her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren close to her heart and loved them all of her life. She was a resident of Briarwood Nursing Center for the past 19 months. One of the staff members said that she brought them laughs, snuggles and sass, and that she would be missed. It was evident to all that she loved God by her words of “I love you Lord.”, “Help me Lord.” and “I want to go home.”
A Graveside service will be Wednesday, February 25, 2026 beginning at 11:00 A.M. at the Hazen Cemetery located at US-63 North, Hazen, Arkansas.
