Joyce Elliott Larkan, age 79, passed away on February 12, 2026 leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to her family.
Joyce was born on September 2, 1946 to Robert “Hadacal” Elliott and Bessie Elliott (Adams). She was a 1963 graduate of Humphrey High school. Following high school, Joyce attended cosmetology school in Port Arthur, Texas. She married Johnny Larkan, of Hazen, in 1968 and remained a resident of Hazen until her death. She was a hairstylist for nearly 50 years. In addition to her career, she enjoyed being outside, working in her yard, and tending to her dog. Above all else, Joyce loved her family deeply and will be missed by all who knew her.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her 8 siblings, and twin daughters who died at birth.
Joyce is survived by her 3 children, Lance Larkan, Kim Lisko (Roger), and Johnathan Larkan, her grandchildren Lauren Lisko, Ross Lisko, and Alexis Larkan along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Hazen First United Methodist Church on Monday, February 16, 2026 with visitation from 10:00-11:00 am and the funeral at 11:00 am followed by a burial at the Hazen Cemetery.
