Helen Virginia Plafcan Brasko, age 98, of Slovak, Arkansas, passed away on March 3, 2014. Helen was born April 19, 1915 to the late Joe and Florence Plafcan in Carlisle, Arkansas. She was a parishioner of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Slovak and a member of the Altar Society.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; husband, Joe and grandson, Rodney Brasko. Survivors include her son, Robert (Judy) Brasko of Slovak; grandchildren, Bob (Annette) Brasko of Apopka, Florida and Annette (Hans) Sterl of Shannon Hills and 7 great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. Burial will be in Slovak Cemetery in Slovak, Arkansas by Westbrook Funeral Home of Hazen. Memorials may be made to Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church or donor’s favorite charity.
