Alma Faye (Floyd) Galloway, of Oswego, Illinois passed away peacefully on June 10, 2022. She was born August 10, 1927 in Hazen, Arkansas. Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Odes and Iva Floyd; infant brother, Oris; infant sister, Edith; her brother, Elmer Floyd, and her daughter, Carolyn Williams.
Faye is survived by her children, Valarie Allen of DePere, Wisconsin, Ben (Marcia) Galloway of Houghton, Michigan, and Deanne (Ken) Todd of Oswego, Illinois along with her grandchildren, Kari,Samantha, Chad, Nicole, Jennifer, Matthew, and Michael. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, Kecia, Sean, Conor, Carys, Skye, Colter, Parker, and Dylan and 2 great-great grandchildren, Karlie and Kailyne. In addition, Faye is survived by her siblings, Flossie Neighbors of Stuttgart, Arkansas, Betty (James) Tipton of Stuttgart, Arkansas, Shirley (Kenneth) Carnell of Sikeston, Missouri, Shirrel (Linda) Floyd of Kennett, Missouri, and Lavada Ingle of Hazen, Arkansas and 13 nieces and nephews.
Faye was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Aurora where she served in many capacities in service to the Lord. She also enjoyed traveling, especially with her siblings. During her life, she traveled to all 50 states and many foreign countries. Gardening and reading were also two of her favorite hobbies.
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 17, 2022 at the Center Point Baptist in Hazen, Arkansas 2997 Center Point Road, Hazen, Arkansas 72064, with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. followed by burial in the Center Point Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
