Living an amazing 105 years, Mrs Pearl Perry personally witnessed a lot of history as it unfolded before her eyes. Her longevity was legendary. I was privileged to be her substitute mail carrier from 1980 to 1986 and later I was her regular mail carrier from 1989 to 1996. She was a wonderful lady. Sometimes she would meet me in the mailroom of her apartment complex and tell fascinating stories as I sorted mail to various apartment mailboxes. She was kind, witty, pleasant, sometimes comical, sometimes serious, knowledgeable about current events, appreciative, and a joy to be around. Years later I was told that had maintained that special sweet disposition well beyond the century mark. She will be missed, but fondly remembered by those who were fortunate to have known her. The world is a better place because of people such as Mrs Pearl Perry. Her precious legacy endures.

  2. Mrs Perry was a wonderful lady. I had the privilege of being her caregiver for a few years. She was kind, compassionate and full of wisdom. She was sharp, if I suggested to make a change in her daily routine, she would say we just not going to do that. A few day later she would say yes I think we should do your suggestion. Every morning she would have her in the garden time. I will miss her, love you Mrs Pearl Perry.
