Rosemary Edge, 85, of Hazen, Arkansas, was welcomed into her eternal home on July 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on December 25, 1940, in Biscoe, Arkansas, to Andy Thomas Lee and Artie Lucille Lee. Rosemary lived a life defined by faith, compassion, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Above all else, she was a devoted wife, a mother, and “Meme.” Caring for children was not simply something she did—it was the calling of her heart. Whether they were her own children, grandchildren, or any child fortunate enough to cross her path, she poured out unconditional love, gentle guidance, and endless patience. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and acceptance, and generations of her family were shaped by the steadfast love she so freely gave. She found her greatest joy in raising children and nurturing those around her, leaving each person she loved better because of her care. To know Rosemary was to be cared for. To her family, she wasn’t simply “Meme”—she was home.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Gary Don Edge; her beloved son, Michael Eugene Edge, Sr.; and her grandson, Michael Eugene Edge, Jr., whom she loved and helped raise with the same unwavering devotion that defined her life.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Preston Eugene Edge; her brother, Andy Eugene Lee; her daughters, Karen West (Allen) and Rebecca Shelman (Greg); her son, Rick Edge (Allison); her grandchildren, Jon Edge (Amber), whom she lovingly helped raise and cherished as a son, Ashley Keathley (David), Dusty West, Katie Gaspard (Lance), and Jackson Shelman; and her great-grandchildren, Breyson and Amelia Keathley; Preston and Olivia Edge; Jordan Tripp; Phoenix and Aria West; and her youngest great-granddaughter who carries her name, Evie Rose Gaspard.
Rosemary leaves behind a legacy measured not in possessions, but in people. Her greatest accomplishments were not things she achieved, but lives she touched. She was the heart of her family—the one who made everyone feel safe, welcomed, and deeply loved. Her kindness, strength, and selfless spirit will continue to live on through the generations she helped raise. Though her family grieves the loss of her earthly presence, they rejoice knowing she has been welcomed into the arms of her Savior and reunited with those who went before her. Her love will continue to be felt in every story shared, every family gathering, every warm embrace, and every child who knows what it means to be loved and how to love because of the example she set.
Her greatest legacy was not what she left behind, but who she left behind.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 24 beginning at 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. with funeral services immediately following beginning at 11:00 A.M. held at Center Point Missionary Baptist Church North of Hazen.
